GRANGER, Jerome F.  Age 76, of Gaines, died Saturday, December 17, 2005 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Tuesday, December 20, 2005 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Gaines. Visitation will be held 6-9 PM Sunday, 1-4 & 6-9 PM Monday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Foundation or the American Heart Association. Jerome was born April 13, 1929 in Swartz Creek, the son of Romia and Alta (Vincent) Granger. He was married to Mary Lou Blount on March 11, 1949. Mr. Granger served as the President of the Village of Gaines for many years. He had volunteered for D.V.A. and was employed by Atkinson Construction, where he was a Grader Operator. Mr. Granger was a  member of the Lions Club. He also served as Superintendent of Sunday School at Gaines United Methodist Church and was a Cub Master for many years. Surviving are: wife, Mary Lou; sons, Terry and wife Anita, Tim and wife Debbie, Randy and wife Sally, Greg and wife Amy, Jeff and wife Liz; 14 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Louie and wife Lucille; 2 sisters, Dorothy Bloss, Evelyn and husband George Dzurak; sister-in-law, Marian Granger; brothers-in-law, Frank and wife Romaine Blount, Bob Blount, John Wright; many nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Roland.
