Jeremy was born November 21, 1973 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Earl R. and Cheryl D. (Albrecht) Stecher. Jeremy was a devoted husband and father. He spent a majority of his free time having fun with his daughters, helping others and enjoying his love of nature, painting and music. He lived life to the fullest and encouraged others to do the same. In the short time, he touched many lives and had a charm that drew others to him. He was there and willing to listen. Jeremy's friends knew it. He loved others deeply and without judgement. He loved spending time outdoors, in the woods, were he would take long walks, go fishing, or take pictures. He would describe the woods as a type of private sanctuary. Jeremy said he felt closest to GOD when surrounded by nature and would talk openly with Him. Jeremy graduated from Grand Blanc High School in 1993 and from University of Michigan with a Bachelors degree in fine arts in 2006. He was a humble, yet very talented artist across several mediums. Some of his favorites included painting, drawing and photography. He is was also a muralist and his works can still be seen on the campuses of the University of Michigan - Flint (Guinness Book of World Record) and Mott Community College. Pieces from his private collection will be on display during our celebration of his life. Surviving are: wife, Elizabeth of Clinton Township; son, Jeremy Jr.; twin daughters, Paige and Brooke Stecher both at home; mother, Cheryl (step-father Mike) Knickerbocker of Swartz Creek; sister, Jamie (Gary) Gammons; brothers Jason Stecher and Jody (Terri) Stecher; grandmother, Donna Albrecht of TN; sister-in-law Sara (Jason) Kuhnie; 3 nephews; 1 niece; many aunts; uncles and cousins.
