Jeremy Helbig

Jeremy Paul Helbig - of Hartland, passed away very unexpectedly on Thursday, February 17, 2022.  Jeremy was born in Royal Oak, Michigan on June 23, 1981, the son of June Burgess and Kenneth Helbig. He grew up in Versailles, KY where he still has many friends and family, then moved back to Michigan in 2012.  He worked as a heating/cooling technician for various local companies over the years.

Jeremy would help anyone and everyone he could, always with a smile. He coached and counseled many children in the HAYAA (Hartland Area Youth Athletic Association) football program and was a huge fan of all the Hartland sports teams.  His death leaves a giant hole in the hearts of all the families of children who are part of this awesome sports community.

He is survived by his greatest love in life, his family, Heather and boys, Chase and Evan Maurer; father, Kenneth Helbig; mother, June Brown; grandparents, Robert & Patricia Helbig and Geraldine Brown;  siblings and their families, Jennifer Brown (Brooklynn Harper), Jay (Katie) Brown, (Marley, Fletcher, Ivy), Nicole (Jacob) Bilanow (Brynlee), Joey (Ali) Helbig; stepfather, John Brown; stepmother, Lisa Towns; adoptive in-laws, the Walter Horton family and many other beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ramey Burgess, Hazel Harrison, Billy M. Brown (Dusty); uncle, Joseph Deemer Harrison, and special friend, Tommy Thomas.

A visitation will be held from 3:00 - 8:00 PM Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden, MI with cremation to follow.
