Jerald Robert "Jerry" Sumner

Jerry was born October 30, 1943 in Durand, the son of Maynard and Klegal (Farnham) Sumner. He was a graduate of Davison High School and attended Owosso Bible College in Owosso. He had resided in Lennon for the past 55 years coming from Burton. He retired from GM Parts in Swartz Creek. Jerry was a member of Sent Out Community Church in Lennon (Lennon Wesleyan Church). He also was a member of U.A.W. Local 659. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and gardening.
Surviving are: his son, Jerald L. Sumner of Durand; daughter, Elizabeth A. (Glen) Fairweather of Owosso; grandchildren, Madeleine, Matthew, Amy, Nicholas (Christin), Joseph and Anthony; 1 great granddaughter, Jolie; brothers, Maynard (Marjorie) Sumner of Flint, James Sumner of Flint, Roger Sumner of Burton and David (Mary) Sumner of Durand; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Cecilia Sumner. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfunralhomes.com.
