Jenette Farthing

FARTHING, Jenette Christine - age 86, of Lennon, died Monday, September 25, 2017. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday, September 29, 2017 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Pastor Robert Starr officiating. Interment will be held 2 PM Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Curtisville Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Kindred Hospice. Mrs. Farthing was born February 18, 1931 in Flint, the daughter of Marion Francis and Donna Bell (Blanchard) Snell. She was a 1949 graduate of Mary Crapo High School in Swartz Creek. She married Clifford W. Farthing in 1966 and he preceded her in death in 1982. Mrs. Farthing lived in South Branch from 1977 until 2002 when she moved to Lennon. She was a member of Curtisville Baptist Church, Curtisville Civic Association, Swartz Creek O.E.S. #430 and the Pauline Workers Missionary Group. Surviving are: five children, Charles Knight of Lowell, Barbara (Walter) Rodabaugh of Lennon, Michael (Sandy) Farthing of Flushing, Kevin (Debra) Knight of Rose City, MI, and Clifford Farthing of Lennon; nine grandchildren, Valerie Knight, Nicholas Knight, Kyle Rodabaugh, Kyanne Rodabaugh, Christa Huffman, Michelle Farthing, Corey Knight, Gerritt Knight and Toni Blackmer; 20 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Joy Treadway and Irene Shaw, both of Swartz Creek; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
