TALLMAN, Jeffrey Allen - Age 70, of Burton, died August 8, 2021, peacefully at his home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:30 AM Wednesday, August 18 at Our Lady of Guadalupe 2316 Coldwater Rd. Flint. Father Paul Donelley celebrant. Burial to follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Monday, August 16 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center 6063 Fenton Rd. Grand Blanc. Visitation also from 4-8 PM Tuesday at the church with a Rosary being held at 7 PM, and 10:30 AM Wednesday until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Jeffrey was born January 10, 1951 in Flint, the son of Victor and Eleonora (Meyer) Tallman. Jeff graduated from Carman High School in 1970 and then joined the United States Army. Jeff was awarded the National Defense Service Medal as well as earning the distinction of M16 sharpshooter. After Jeff's honorable discharge from the U.S. Army he worked at Mott Community College for 30 years, sharpening his skills in several areas of maintenance and general contracting. These skills made Jeff an individual that anyone could come to for assistance as he was well known for his building, fixing and repairing anything put in front of him and was always willing to lend a hand. On April 23, 1994 Jeff married the love of his life, Ulalia (Duran) Tallman. It was on this day, that Jeff and Ulalia became inseparable. After Jeff retired he and Ulalia shared many hobbies together including camping, fishing, gardening and woodworking. There was nothing that Jeff loved more then spending time with Ulalia, his daughter Anastacia, his son Eugene "Geno", and his two grandsons Gavin and Jonas. Jeff was an active member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. including it's men's group. On Sunday Mass you could find Jeff and Ulalia sitting in the same spot in the same pew. Jeff was a huge sports fan. Wherever Jeff was he was always following his favorite teams: Detroit Lions, Michigan Wolverines, and his Detroit Tigers. Jeff is survived by his wife, Ulalia "Lala"; daughter, Anastacia (Brandon) Tallman, son, Eugene "Geno" (Amy) Gatica; grandsons, Gavin (Jade) and Jonas Gatica; sisters, Linda (Dan) Squires; stepmother, Bernice Tallman; stepsisters, Cindy Jenkins (Ed Weisbart) and Laurie Bonk; mother-in-law, Mena Duran; brother-in-laws, Felix Duran, Michael (Rosa) Duran, Jesus (Vivian) Duran, Chuck Vanduser; sisters-in-law, Marcia Duran, Lena (Vic) Rueda; lots of beloved nieces and nephews; godchildren and Diva. Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Eleonora; sister, Cindy Lou Tallman; brother, Robert V. Tallman; father-in-law, Aleusion Duran Sr.; brothers-in-law, Aleusion (Jr) Duran, David Duran, Johnny Duran; high school friend, Roman Rodriguez; special friend, Simba.
