Jeffrey Dernberger

DERNBERGER, Jeffrey R. - Age 69, of Swartz Creek, died April 13, 2018. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at The River Church, 8393 Holly Rd., Holly. Pastor Caleb Combs will officiate. Visitation will be held 2-4 & 6-8 PM Tuesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton and from 10 AM until the time of service Wednesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to The Freedom Center, for Clara's Hope, P.O. Box 52, Fenton, MI 48430. Jeffrey was born October 5, 1948 in Detroit, the son of Roy and Marion (Finkbiener) Dernberger. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Jeffrey retired from Detroit Edison, as did his father and grandfather. He was proud to be the third generation with over 100 years combined service to Detroit Edison. He is survived by his wife, Diane; children, Scott Dernberger, Heidi (Joe) Young, Todd (Katie) Dernberger; grandchildren, Chloe, Joey, Gavyn, Lillie, Hadley, Kaylee, Delaney and Quincy; brother, Douglas Dernberger; sister, Lisa Searcy.
