Jeannette (Baker) Leach

January 5, 1925 — September 27, 2019

Age 90, of Flint, formerly of Battle Creek and Tulsa, Oklahoma, died Friday, September 27, 2019. A memorial service will take place at 11 AM, Saturday, October 5, 2019, at Grace Lutheran Church, 2526 Corunna Rd., Flint. Pastor Samuel Hacker III will officiate. Jeannette was born on January 5, 1929 in Grand Rapids, the daughter of Leon and Florence (Fox) Cool. She attended Battle Creek Central High School. Jeannette married Galen Baker on May 3, 1947 in Battle Creek, Michigan. She would later marry Calvin Leach on July 25, 1970, in Freemont, California. Jeannette worked for Disabled American Veterans as a hospital service coordinator and Pie Company as a truck driver. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, American Legion Auxiliary and Carmen Ainsworth Senior Center. She is survived by three sons, Terry (Karen) Baker, Ronald (Lois) Baker and Robert Baker; three step-children, Debra (Tom) Lee, Karen Sconzo and Robert Leach; nine grandchildren, Shaun (Justine) Baker, Diana (Brian) Brown, Kirsti Baker, Jeannette Baker, Bobbie Sue Baker, Christopher Baker, John Baker, Joseph Baker and Angelica Baker; and sister, Phyllis Ullery. Jeannette was preceded in death, husband, Calvin Leach, parents, step-son, Calvin Leach Jr. and numerous brothers and sisters.
