Jeanne Downs

DOWNS, Jeanne Loraine Patrick - Age 58, of Lennon, went to be with our loving Father, Friday, February 1, 2008 at Hurley Medical Center.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated 4:00 PM Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Swartz Creek.  Monsignor Richard Groshek and Fr. Tom Helfrich con celebrating.  Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek from 5-9 PM Monday, 4-7 PM Tuesday, 1-3:30 PM Wednesday; a rosary will be prayed 6PM Tuesday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Jeanne Loraine Downs Memorial Fund.  Jeanne was born September 16, 1949 in Flint, the daughter of Reinhold Herman and Edith Faith (Lewis) Bachmann.  She had resided in Lennon since 1992, coming from Flushing Township.  She was a member of the  Civil Air Patrol. She worked for GM Lansing Assembly in Security for 17 years.  She was a member of St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church where she taught CCD classes and was the librarian for many years.  She also was a volunteer at the Last Chance Rescue.  Jeanne was a loving, caring and faithful, daughter, sister, mother and friend.  Surviving are: son, Sean Patrick of Lennon; sister, Margaret Won of Flint; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Scott Patrick; brother, Arthur Bachmann.  Online condolences and tributes may be posted at the obituaries pages of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
