McLANE, Jeannette - Age 86, of Fenton, died Friday, May 1, 2009 at McLaren Regional Medical Center in Flint. She was born October 4, 1922 in Woodhaven, NY, the daughter of Robert and Irene Granger. On April 15, 1945 she married Lincoln "Bob" McLane in Woodhaven, NY. She moved to the Flint area in 1954 and had lived in Fenton since 1956. Besides raising 8 children, she worked several part time jobs including being the bookkeeper for her husband's auto body repair and muffler shop in Fenton. She had been a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Mrs. McLane had also been very active in providing help to the needy in the Flint and Fenton areas. She is survived by: sons, Lincoln R. and wife Marilyn McLane Jr. of Lansing, Kevin and wife Julie McLane of Gloucester, VA, Timothy L. McLane of Fenton, Mark V. and wife Laurie McLane of Seaford, VA and Stephen A. McLane; daughters, Diane E. and husband Raymond Lawlor of Jacksonville, FL, Andrea M. Dalton of St. Augustine, FL, Cynthia I. and husband Comer Romancky of St. Helen; 24 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Lincoln R. "Bob" McLane; granddaughter, Jessica McKane; grandson, Keith Dalton; brother, Robert Granger. Honoring her request, the body was donated to U of M Medical School in Ann Arbor, MI. Those desiring to make a memorial contribution are asked to give to a charity which directly helps the poor.
