Jay William Rouse

ROUSE, Jay William  Age 68, of Flint, died September 18, 2004 at his residence. Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, September 22, 2004 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-9 PM Tuesday. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to the Jay William Rouse Memorial Fund. Jay was born December 22, 1935 in Flint the son of Rueben Edward and Anna May (Gown) Rouse. He had resided in Flint most of his life and was a 1955 graduate of Flint Central High School. He worked as a self-employed carpenter. He was a former member of the Eagles in Durand and Flint. Mr. Rouse was an avid fisherman and hunter. Surviving are: son, Jeffrey and wife Catherine of Durand; daughter, Becky Rouse of Flushing; 4 grandchildren, Jackie Wright Jr. of Flushing, Jeffrey E., Amanda, and Amy Rouse of Durand; 2 sisters, Betty and husband Robert Dumbley of Millington, Shirley Ritchie of Davison; brother-in-law, Guy and wife Sue Ritchie of Flint; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents
