Jared was an outgoing and popular man who cared for and loved all his friends and family. He looked up to his brother Justin and was always there for his mother Michelle and father Rob. Since high school Jared worked with his family's construction company alongside his dad, brother, and uncles. He grew up frolicking with his beloved German shepherd dogs , taking care of his family's yard and ponds, swimming, water skiing, fishing and reading history. Jared's love of music carried throughout his life. He found his comfort in his faith in Jesus Christ and the words of the Bible. He played ice hockey at a very high level starting out with Gale Cronk's Flint Icelanders followed by Ann Arbor and Belle Tire AAA travel clubs that competed throughout the Midwest and Canada. He topped off his time on the ice with three years on Swartz Creek's Varsity Squad under coach John Badal as team captain; helping to lead the Dragons to a Division Championship and Regional playoff runner up in his final year. Some of his personal accomplishments included being awarded the "Jack C. Vivian" award from the Eastern Michigan Hockey Association in 2007 for exemplary leadership, sportsmanship, and Team MVP by Coach Mike Jakubic. He also was elected to the Genesee County Metro Leagues All Conference Varsity Hockey Team as a Senior and received honorable mentions as a Junior. Jared took particular interest in the political process of our nation and loved learning about as well as teaching anyone who would listen to him talk about "Conservative" Political views, which he wholeheartedly believed in. He admired both active and veteran military service personal and never missed an opportunity to thank and shake the hand of these heroes of his. He respected elderly folks and regularly went out of his way to visit with or give a helping hand to a senior citizen whether he knew them or not. Jared so loved to keep his friends laughing and wasn't afraid to be laughed at with teammates, friends and family. He was always the life of the party.
