Janice Watson, born December 7, 1942, in St. Clair, Michigan, was the beloved daughter of James Dale and Jessie Margaret (Robbins) Potter. She was a proud graduate of St. Clair High School.

On December 14, 1962, Janice married the love of her life, Jimmie L. Watson. Together, they shared 63 wonderful years of marriage, building a life centered around family, love, and laughter.

Janice cherished time spent with family and friends, especially her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She never missed sending a birthday wish or celebrating a milestone, always making those around her feel remembered and loved. Her heart was kind, her spirit strong, and her loyalty unwavering—always standing up for the underdog and offering a helping hand.

Janice found joy in quiet moments on the patio, watching and feeding the birds and squirrels. Throughout her life, Janice held many different jobs, but her most meaningful role was as a daycare provider, where she poured her love into caring for children.

Janice was a strong, independent woman, devoted to her family, friends, and community. Her thoughtful presence and generous heart will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Jimmie L. Watson; her children, Chantal Simms and Shaun Watson; her cherished grandchildren, Jessie (Alex) Kinney, Jill Simms (Ryan Abraham), and Jacqui Simms; and her great-granddaughter, Bristol Kinney. She is also survived by her siblings, Jack (Ruth) Potter, James Potter, and Jennifer (Leonard) Kissinger; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family

Janice was preceded in death by her parents and her sister-in-law, June Potter.
