Janice Smith

Smith, Janice Margaret - Age 91, of  Flint, died July 16, 2022. Services will be held 12 PM, Monday, July 25 at Sharp Funeral Homes, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held 10 AM until the time of service Monday, July 25. Those desiring may make contributions to Court Street United Methodist Church or Crossover Outreach. Janice was born July 1, 1931 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Martin and LaRue (Penell) Halverson. She was a graduate of Flint Northern High School and Flint Junior College. She married Bernard Smith November 3, 1950 in Flint and he preceded her in death October 27, 2015. She was an Avon Representative for 50 years. She was a life member of Community Presbyterian Church and member of Court Street United Methodist Church. She loved to travel, the water, skating, reading and bowling. She was a multiple medal winner in the Senior Olympics in Swimming. Surviving are: sons, Ken (Carol) Smith of Grand Blanc, Jim (Vickie) Smith of Grand Blanc; grandchildren, Brian (Julia) Smith of Grand Blanc, Carrie Smith of Moab, Utah, Aaron Smith of Rahway, NJ, Brendan (Monica) Smith of Grand Blanc; great-grandchildren, Molly, Finley, Charlie, Hannah and Henry; sister Kay (Don) Heise of Charlevoix; and nieces and nephews.
