Janice Shimoda

SHIMODA, Janice Kay, D.O. - Age 78, of Flint, passed away April 26, 2022. A memorial gathering will be held from 11-3 PM Sunday, May 1, 2022 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Janice was born October 19, 1943 in Clearfield, IA, the daughter of Fay Orville and Lorna Winnifred (Siverly) Frus. Dr. Shimoda earned her medical degree from Michigan State University and worked in Family Practice in Flint for 30 years. She was an avid reader and world traveler. She enjoyed gardening and photography. Dr. Shimoda was a kind soul who was generous with her time and was a loyal supporter of the Flint Public Library. She is survived by her daughters, Sachiko (Erick) Turnbull and Kimiko (Tia Bradley) Shimoda; sister, Dot (Bob) Ray; brother, Ron Frus. several nephews, cousins and their families.
