WHITE, Janice L. - Age 74, of Fenton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 3, 2023. Funeral Service 11:00 AM Monday June 12, 2023 at The Fenton United Methodist Church 119 S. Leroy Street, Fenton. Pastor Jeff Jaggers officiating. Visitation 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM Sunday, June 11, 2023 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Interment at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Memorial Contributions in Janice's memory would be appreciated to The Fenton United Methodist Church.
Janice was born April 12, 1949 in Lansing, MI at Sparrow Hospital, the daughter of Crellis F. Meythaler and Ruth Evelyn (Sellers) Meythaler. Janice graduated from Flint Northwestern in 1967. She then went to the University of Michigan and graduated with a B.A. in Elementary Education in 1971. Janice taught in the Flint Community Schools for eight years. Then she was a substitute teacher for Fenton schools for twenty plus years mainly at North Road Elementary School. She also taught Sunday School for the Fenton United Methodist Church.
Janice was married for better than 46 years to her loving husband, Paul R. White and was the mother of two sons, Jason White of Holly, MI and Adam White of Oak Creek Wisconsin. She has two grandchildren, Christine and Daniel White. Janice has two siblings, James Meythaler of Swartz Creek, MI and Carol and Jeff Lubbers of Fleetwood, North Carolina.
Janice loved the book series Outlander, hated computers and loved gardening. Janice was a loving and nurturing grandmother and a wonderful wife. She also missed her swimming buddies at the pool. She loved sending cards to relatives and people on the sick list for the Fenton United Methodist Church. She also will miss writing cards for her cousins, nephews and nieces.
