THORPE, Janet Catherine - Age 81, of Linden, died February 13, 2017. Funeral services will be held 12 PM Friday, February 17, 2017 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Burial will follow in Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Thursday. Those desiring may make contributions to the Humane Society of Genesee County. Janet was born January 11, 1936 in Detroit, the daughter of Roy and Alvena Degen. She was married to James Thorpe on January 13, 1959. She is survived by her husband, James; children, Darcy (Bradlee) Knoll and Sean; seven grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
