Janet Marie SMITH

SMITH, Janet Marie, age 66, of Fenton, passed away Thursday, September 30, 2010 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 4, 2010 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Pastor Pam Kail officiating. Interment at Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with an Order of Eastern Star Memorial Service at 7:00 p.m. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Janet was born September 25, 1944 in Flint the daughter of the late William Elgin and Trenna Zay (Woodcock) Lewis. She married Philip C. Smith on August 22, 1964 in Flint. Janet was a member of Lake Fenton United Methodist Church, Eastern Star #248, Chorale Ministries Inc. Michigan, Ohio Concert Choir, and a former volunteer for Boy Scouts of America. Surviving are her husband of 46 years, Philip of Fenton; 3 children, Cary Smith (Kim) of Goodrich, Craig Smith (Jennifer) of Grand Blanc, Charlene Smith (Rick) of Fenton; 6 grandchildren, Ashleigh Young, Joshua Smith and Mikala Hudson, Ben and Zak VanSlyke, Gabi Howard; several nieces and nephews.
