Janet L. PATE

PATE, Janet L. - age 73, of Swartz Creek, died Friday, October 28, 2011 at Holly Convalescent Center. Services will be held 2 PM Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Mrs. Pate was born June 2, 1938 in Flushing, the daughter of James and Alice (Harrison) Benjamin. She married Roy Pate on March 10, 1962 and he preceded her in death on April 4, 2010. Mrs. Pate worked for Winn's Lighting in sales for many years. Surviving are: two sisters, Elaine Doty of Swartz Creek, Patsy Doty of Burton; three brothers, James Richard (Marilyn) Benjamin of Grand Blanc, John (Carol) Benjamin of Flint, Chuck (Pat) Benjamin of Burton; several nieces and nephews; best friend, Barbara Bailey.
