Janet Louise LINDSAY

LINDSAY, Janet Louise, age 73, of Linden, passed away Sunday, August 19, 2012 at Avalon Hospice. Services will be held 2:00PM Sunday, September 2, 2012 at Owosso Church of Christ, 2005 South M-52, Owosso. Chaplain Beverly Adcock officiating. In Lieu of Flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society, Avalon Hospice or the American Cancer Society. Janet was born September 10, 1938 in Owosso the daughter of the late Kenneth Russell and Agnes Helen (Harvath) Howe. She graduated in 1956 from Owosso High School where she was active in the band, playing the clarinet and drums. She also played piano. Janet was employed throughout the years as an Executive Secretary by Insight, Holly Gardens and Auburn Counseling. In her spare time, Janet enjoyed crocheting and caring for her cats, which were the love of her life. Surviving are her 3 children, Janene Ruess (David Turner) of Burton, Jeri-Lynn Kellogg (Terry) of Corunna, Gene A. Ruess (Jill) of Ovid; 6 grandchildren, Jordan Johnson (Lucas), Colleen and Caleb Ruess, Samuel Turner, Quentin Kellogg (Melinda), Tyler Kellogg; 2 great-grandchildren, Izaak and Izabelle Kellogg; brother, James K. Howe (Eileen) of Lake George. She was also preceded in death by her infant son, Richard Edward Ruess in 1958 and brother, Garry Howe. the family extends thanks to Avalon Hospice for their loving care and support.
