Janet Frieling

FRIELING, Janet Elaine - Age 89, of Fenton, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2022.  Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton (A live stream of the service will be available on Janet's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com).  Pastor Marv Herman officiating.  Burial in Oakwood Cemetery, Fenton.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.

Janet was born October 10, 1932 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Fred and Mildred (Wetherel) Gronwall.  She was a 1950 graduate of Thornton High School in Harvey, IL. She married her high school sweetheart, George Wesley Frieling May 19, 1951 in Chicago, IL and he preceded her in death May 20, 2020.  She had resided in the Fenton area for the past 40 years coming from Flint.

Surviving are: her children, Jeffrey (Caroline) Frieling of Lapeer, John (Lisa) Frieling of Fenton, and Richard (Jill) Frieling of Owosso; 8 grandchildren, Heather (Corey) Smith of Madison Heights, Amanda (Nate) Allen of Howell, Katie Frieling of Fenton, Michael (Ruzanna) Frieling of Cincinnati, OH, Matthew Frieling of Ann Arbor, Curtis Frieling of Midland, Zack Frieling of Detroit, and Tessa (Kevin) Becker of Lapeer; 6 great grandchildren, Lauren, Tommy, Lucas, Avery, Mason, and Riley; sisters, Glor Louch and Cynthia Gronwall both of Chicago, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
