Janet Culver

CULVER, Janet J. - age 93, of Flushing, died October 5, 2022. A celebration of life will be held 12 PM Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, MI 48473. The family will receive friends from 10 AM - 12 PM Saturday, October 22 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Genesee County or the charity of one's choice. Janet was born August 14, 1929 in Wyandotte, the daughter of Albert and Esther (Woodward) Homsher. Her family moved to Flint in 1931. She was a 1946 graduate of Flint Central High School and attended University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Janet retired from General Motors Chevrolet Manufacturing in 1988 after 33 years in the Personnel and Finance Department. She lived a comfortable life enjoying her family, friends and her summer retreat on Otsego Lake in Gaylord. Surviving are: son, Geoffery (Wendie) Culver; daughter, Jennifer Alexander and companion, Mark Perkins; five grandchildren, Christian (Angie) Farnsworth, Jonathan (Ann) Farnsworth, Amie (Jason) Martin, Melissa (Thom) Tillier, and Geoffery Culver, Jr.; 16 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Albert Homsher; mother, Esther DeYonker; step-father, Arthur DeYonker; and brother, Don P. Homsher. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
