Jane Voelker

Voelker, Jane Louise - Age 94, of Fenton, died May 6, 2018. Funeral services will be held 11AM Wednesday May 9 at Tyrone Covenant Presbyterian Church 10235 White Lake Rd. Fenton, Interment in Tyrone Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Sharp Funeral Homes Fenton Chapel 1000 Silver Lake Rd. Fenton; and from 10 AM Wednesday until the time of the funeral at the church. Those desiring may make contributions to Tyrone Covenant Presbyterian Church or McLaren Hospice. Jane was born August 9, 1923 in Mt. Morris Township the daughter of Claude E. and Marion R. (Blight) Rumsey. She married Rex R. Voelker on May 21, 1949; he preceded her in death January 14, 1996. She had worked for Genesee County Friend of the Court, and retired from AAA Michigan. She was a member of Tyrone Covenant Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Voelker enjoyed gardening, knitting, crocheting and reading. She is survived by her four children, Vicki (Frank) Gyorkos of Fenton, Yvonne Voelker of Fenton, Lori (James) Stidham of South Lyon, Von (Patti) Voelker of Holly; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister Joan Weil of Goodrich; brother Richard Rumsey of Flushing; several nieces and nephews.
