LANDAAL, Jane Elizabeth- age 71, of Fenton passed away March 21, 2025 at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton. Fr. Tom Firestone, celebrant. Visitation 3:00 PM-8:00 PM Tuesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton where a rosary will be prayed 7:00 PM Tuesday. Visitation will continue 10:00 am until the time of Mass Wednesday at Church. Entombment at Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Memorial contributions in Jane's memory would be appreciated to The National Giving Alliance- Flint Chapter (NGA) Needlework Guild.
Jane was born August 12, 1953 in Flint, the daughter of Arthur and Adeline (Sawinska) Bickersteth. She married Robert R. Landaal in Flint on August 1, 1975, he preceded her in death on January 20, 1992. Jane graduated from Flint Northwestern in 1971 and later from Mott Community College. She was a member of the National Giving Alliance-Flint Chapter (NGA) Needlework Guild. Jane was a former member of the Flint Junior League. She also volunteered at Hurley Hospice Pediatric Oncology Department. She served as a board member of Mott C.C. Foundation and The Care Club. Jane was President of The Women's Council of Realtors. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Fenton and previously St. Matthew Catholic Church, Flint. Jane was a devoted grandmother who never missed any of her grandchildren's events. She was the Landaal's family equivalent of Martha Stewart and loved to plan family events.
Jane is survived by her children, Robert B. (Christine) Landaal, Katherine (Brock) Place, Matthew (Kelly) Landaal, and Mark (Meredith) Landaal; grandchildren, Robert M. Landaal, Riley Place, Alexa Landaal, Ella Place, Samantha Landaal, Sydney Place, Colin Landaal, Evelyn Landaal, Weston Landaal, Gavin Landaal, Norah Landaal, and Finn Landaal; brother. Jim Bickersteth; and brother-in-law, Stephen (Kimberly) Landaal.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Adeline Bickersteth; husband, Robert R. Landaal; brother, Gary Bickersteth; her in-laws, Robert S. (Virginia) Landaal, Barb (Troy) Terry, Tom (Renee) Landaal, and Patsy Bickersteth. Online tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
