Jane Doris HOPKINS

HOPKINS, Jane Doris -- Age 98, of Flint, died December 27, 2011 at Leith Manor. Services will be 11 AM Thursday, Janaury 5, 2012 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. The family will receive visitors from 10 AM until the time of the service at 11 AM. Those desiring may make contributions to Hurley Hospice. Jane was born June 12, 1913 in Huntington, Indiana, the daughter of Bruce and Mabel (Frech) Carnahan. She was married to Frederick Hopkins who preceded her in death July 1, 1994. She was a graduate of Birmingham High School (Adams). She was a Secretary in the Flint Public School System for many years. She was a longtime member of Lincoln Park United Methodist Church on Fenton Road in Flint. Survivng are: three children, Bruce (Bonnie) Hopkins of Kansas City, MO, Jon (Janet) Hopkins of Ossineke, MI, Jane Ann Hopkins of Swartz Creek; three grandsons, Christopher (Evelyn), Scott (Shannon), Craig (Brigetta); five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Elizabeth and Margaret; many nieces and nephews.
