WOODHOUSE, James E. (Woody), of North Branch, formerly of Bloomingdale, MI, passed away June 5, 2012 at Sanilac Medical Care Facility in Sandusky, MI. Burial will be at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery, Bloomingdale. Funeral arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Rd. Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Those desiring may make contributions to the Sanilac Medical Care Facility, activity room, in memory of James E. "Woody" Woodhouse. Woody was born October 2, 1917 on Woodhouse Hill, Columbia Twp., MI, the son of the late LaRue C. and Iva (Leedy) Woodhouse. He married Maryjane Greiffendorf Oct. 15, 1938 in South Haven, MI. She preceded him in death in 1987. Jim loved hunting, fishing and traveling. He retired from Eaton and Yale and Town (Fullers) of Kalamazoo, MI with 30 years of service. One of his many accomplishments in life was that he broke in two yearling Belgium colts when he was 72 years old. Surviving are: son, Martin C. (Maryann) Woodhouse of Curtis, MI; daughter, Carolyn K. (Carl) Morehead of North Branch; 9 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sisters, Christine LeMasters of Jackson, MI and Maxine Horton of Kalamazoo, MI; many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.
