WITT, James Donald - Age 53, of Swartz Creek, died Sunday, November 22, 2009 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, with Pastor J.D. Landis officiating. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Columbiaville. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday from 1-4 and 6-9 PM and Wednesday from 12:00 PM until time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society. James was born March 28, 1956 in Flint, the son of James Robert and Ruth Ramona (Levandosky) Witt. He married Janice Hibbert December 31, 1977 in Flint. He had resided in Swartz Creek since 2003, coming from Flint Township. James was an avid fisherman; he also loved gardening, cooking, pets and especially his cat Sammie. Surviving are his loving wife, Janice; 2 sister, Debra and husband Steven Varney; mother-in-law, Margaret Hibbert; 2 sisters-in-law, Carla and husband Harold Miller and Laura Staudacher; brother-in-law, Richard and wife Melody Hibbert; nieces and nephews, Rachel, Regina, Erik, Lee, Richard, Anne, Stephanie and Jamie; great nieces and great nephews, Chaze, Jonas, Hailey, James, Katie, Libby, Elly, Hayden, Hunter, Olivia, Naomi, Kai and Pascal. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Ruth and James Witt; sister, Susan Witt; father-in-law, Carl Hibbert. Online tributes may be posted at the obituaries page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
