James M. Weatherwax

WEATHERWAX, James M. - of Fenton, died Wednesday, September 1, 2010. He was born February 17, 1942 in Detroit and has lived in Fenton since 1956. Jim graduated from Fenton High School in 1960 an attended University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He worked for General Motors Personnel for 33 years, retiring in 1997. Jim was a member of Fenton United Methodist Church and the Fenton Eagles. He married Joan Parkin in 1969 and she preceded him in death in 2006. Also preceding him in death was daughter, Jill; father, James; mother, Leola; brother, Gerald; and sister, Phyllis (Reardon). His sister, Marie Exner of Cornwall, England; niece, Linda and her husband, Albert Pacheco of Hastings, MI, survive him; his stepdaughter, Julie and her husband, Gene Shilts of Ashland, WI and several grandchildren also survive him. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Adopt-A-Pet in Fenton. Visitation will be held 1-3 PM Sunday, September 5, 2010 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd followed by a memorial service at 3 PM with Rev. E. Taveirne officiating.
