VAUGHAN, James Thomas - Age 81, of Grand Blanc, died Wednesday, August 8, 2018. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Friday, August 10 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1227 E Bristol Road, Burton. Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Interment will follow in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be 9:30 AM until the time of mass at church Friday. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Those desiring may make contributions to Heart to Heart Hospice. James was born May 29, 1937 in Canada, the son of William and Grace (Sebilky) Vaughan. He served in the U.S. Army reserves for 6 years. James worked at General Motors in Service Parts Operations for nearly 34 years, retiring in 1991. He married Dolores A. Collardey on May 12, 1992; and she preceded him in death on March 23, 2014. James was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and served as an usher and Eucharistic minister for several years. He was a 3rd degree and charter member of the K of C counsel 10170. He is survived by: 6 step children; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. James was also preceded in death by his parents and brother, William D. Vaughan.
