TOPOLEWSKI, James Lawrence - Age 89, of Linden formerly of Detroit, died Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at Crestmont Healthcare Center. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Saturday, May 7, 2011 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 6481 Faussett Road, Howell. Fr. Gregg Pleiness celebrating. Burial in St. Augustine Catholic Cemetery. Visiation will be held at the church Saturday from 10:00 AM until time of Mass. Those desiring may make contributions to Gonzaga University. Mr. Topolewski was born September 5, 1921 in Detroit, the son of Richard Vincent and Katherine (Voight) Topolewski. He was a graduate of St. Cecelia Catholic High School and Gonzaga University. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army. Mr. Topolewski along with his family owned and operated Popular and Special Nut Company. He was a member of Gesu Catholic Church, Detroit. Survivng are: 2 brothers, Don Topolewski of Royal Oak and Gerald and wife Mildred Topolewski of Linden; sister, Lorraine and husband James Casey of Traverse City; several nieces and nephews.
