James Spees

SPEES, James Michael "Jim" - passed away December 5, 2016. Jim was born April 7, 1965, at St. Joseph hospital, in Flint, Michigan. He worked as a carpenter by trade and enjoyed working on automobiles. He is survived by his daughter Amanda Spees; parents, Ronald and Barbara (Dilts) Spees. siblings, Ronald (Lisa) Spees Jr, Thomas Spees, Debra (Jeff) Polley, and Patricia Spees. Jim also held dear to his heart his nieces and nephews. Along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He also held special friends, Chris and Matt, close to his heart. Jim loved the great out doors. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and trapper. Jim loved hunting and had several deer to show for it. If you were willing or not he loved to tell his hunting stories to you. Jim was a great carpenter, he could build anything and did so for all that asked. Jim could also fix any type of engine, no matter how big or small. He had a laugh and a smile that would light up the room. When Jim laughed, it would go right through you. He never left a loved one's presence without saying, "I love you and I'll see you later." Jim will truly be missed by his family and friends. Services will be held at 3:00 pm. Saturday, December 10, at the United Methodist Church, 117 Clinton St., Gaines, MI 48436; Reverend Eric Johnson will officiate. Contributions in memory of Jim can be made through Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden.
