James Edward Sedlar

SEDLAR, James Edward - Age 50, of Flint and Swartz Creek, died unexpectedly Friday, November 16, 2007. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Burial will follow in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be 12-4 and 6-9PM Sunday and Monday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to the James Edward Sedlar Memorial Fund. Jim was born February 1, 1957 in Flint the son of Edward and Lorraine (Frasier) Sedlar and had been a resident of Flint and Swartz Creek all of his life. He graduated from Flint Southwestern High School in 1975. He married Rose Hergenreder on March 12, 1978. He was employed by General Motors for 30 years and also worked in construction doing various roofing and siding jobs, oftentimes with his son, Jimmy. Jim enjoyed being outdoors and especially looked forward to hunting season. He was a devoted father and will be sadly missed by his family. Surviving are his children, Mandy Sedlar and James "Jimmy" Sedlar, both at home; mother, Lorraine Sedlar of Burton; 3 sisters, Karen and husband Mike Murphy of Burton, Carol and husband Greg Malburg of Ohio, Charmaine and husband Dan Moak of Mason; nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews; special friend, Janet.
