James Randall ROBINSON

ROBINSON, James Randall"Randy" left to join the Lord early Sunday, May 27, 2012. The lifelong Flushing resident was 47 at the time of his passing. Services for James Randall Robinson will be held at Mayfair Bible Church on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 for visitation at 10 and memorial at 11. Pastor Dean Stewart will be presiding. Randy was born July 23, 1964 in Bay City to Floyd and Anne Robinson. As a child Randy enjoyed horsing around with his brother, David, and sister, Amy. The trio would fight and bicker from time to time, but were always quick to unite against a common foe such as a babysitter when mom and dad were out of town. Randy liked fixing up his dirt bike, playing soccer, and other sports as a young man. He graduated from Flint Christian in 1982 and entered the family restaurant business shortly there after. Randy always enjoyed the relationships he formed within the restaurant whether it was the bus boy, regular guest, or especially his construction crew riding around in their white Chevy van. He married in 1988 to Selina Townsend and had 2 children, Whitley and James Jr. He invested tons of time in his children's lives, coaching their soccer teams, and traveling with them to beautiful sites like Alaska, Disney World, and the Bahamas. He regularly attended church and volunteered time either to help with their kitchen using his superb culinary skills or console a fellow man in need of guidance. Randy always cared for his fellow man more than himself, but sometimes that man would have to wait a few extra minutes since Randy always ran on "RST" or Robinson Standard Time. Randy is survived by his wife of 23 years, Selina Robinson, children Whitley and James Jr., parents Floyd and Thelma Anne, brother David Sr., nephews David Jr., Michael, and Matthew, nieces Amanda and Amber. He is predeceased by his sister Amy Merrow 10/31/85. Arrangements by Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Twp.
