James Reynolds

REYNOLDS, James Elbert - age 94, of Flint, died Monday, February 4, 2019 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 1:30 PM Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint with Darrell Ellis officiating. Interment will follow at Crestwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. James was born January 21, 1925 in Piggott, AR, the son of James Floyd and Pansy (Riddle) Reynolds. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving from 1946-1949. James retired from General Motors as an industrial truck driver in May 1983 after 34 years of service. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed bowling. Surviving are: five children, Nancy Plein and companion, Daniel Lebert of Flint, David Allen Reynolds and companion, Valerie Parsons of TX, Louanda and husband, Kevin Lethbridge of Davison, JoAnn and husband, Dave Convis of FL, Barbara Geeck of Flint; 13 grandchildren, Kathy (Shawn) Ellis, James (Angie) Roat, Mike (Jessica) Roat, Shelby Hatt, Ada (Josh) Hill, Kenneth (Claire) Appel, David (Paula) Princing, Jamie (Alex) Baker, Dale (Megan) Princing II, Betty Ann Reynolds (Adam Updike), Augusta Geeck, Aaron Geeck, and Mathew Geeck; 31 great-grandchildren, Jake, Gabe, James, Jordan, Gavin, Ronan, Maddux, Nathan, Logan, Kadin, Autumn, Conner, Hannah, Makayla, Colton, River, David III, Dale James III, Jackson, Kenny, Korey, Robert, Zachary, Kalei, Kimberley, Hollie, Lindsey, Abigail, Nevaeh, Mathew, Jr., and Ryalee; four siblings, Gene Reynolds of Mayville, Grace Skeel of Clio, Raymond Reynolds of Clio, Gladys (Rick) Wiltsie of Gaines. He was preceded in death by: his parents; brothers, Joseph and Duane; sisters-in-law, Ruth and Beth; brother-in-law, Otto Skeel; son-in-law, Mathew Plein; mother of his children, Leontine (Lee) Reynolds-Meredith; special friend and companion, Janice Molina.
