RAUSCH, James John - Age 84, of Fenton, died Wednesday, January 18, 2017. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St, Fenton. Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Entombment in the Mausoleum at Oakwood Cemetery, Saginaw. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton Monday, January 30th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM, where a Knight of Columbus Memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM and at church Tuesday, January 31st from 10 AM until the time of the Mass. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 114, 30905 Plymouth Road, Livonia, MI 48150. James was born January 8, 1933 in Flint, the son of Linus Joseph and Beulah Eleanor (Newvine) Rausch. He was a 1952 graduate of Berkley High School and received a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from GMI. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. James married Ora Mae Hardin August 17, 1957 in Royal Oak. He retired in 1987 from the GM Chevrolet V8 Engine Plant after 35 years of service. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and the Fenton Knights of Columbus Council #7418. Surviving are: his wife of 59 years, Ora Mae; children, Mark (Linda) Rausch of Canton, Debra Welsh of Redford, and Diane (Jeffrey) Hoffman of Redford; grandson, James Richard Rausch of Canton. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Robert M. Rausch; son-in-law, Kenneth Welsh; and brother, Richard Rausch.
