James Odom

Odom, James Anderson - Age 74, of Flint, died December 12, 2021. Graveside service will be held 10:30 AM Wednesday, December 22 at Great Lakes National Cemetery 4200 N. Belford Rd. Holly. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center 6063 Fenton Rd. Grand Blanc. James was born June 2, 1947 in Flint, the son of Sylvester Wood Odom and Mary Catherine (Craney) Odom. He was a 1965 graduate of Millington High School.  James was a Senior Chief Petty Officer for the United States Navy with over 24 years of service before retiring in 1990. He married Theresa Ann Ryan in Waukegan, Illinois on February 14, 1991. James is survived by his wife, Theresa Odom of Flint; sons, James Odom Jr. of Flint, Dennis Odom of Flint, Timothy Odom (Sara) of Linden; 8 grandchildren; brothers, David Odom of Port Huron, Charles (Deborah) Odom of Hephzibah, GA., Steve (Jackie) Odom of Broken Arrow, OK.; former wife, Kathleen Odom; He was preceded in death by his parents, "Buster" and "Katie" Odom; brother, Denny Mike Odom.
