NEUBECK, James Mark "Doc", age 80, of Flushing, Michigan, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 16, 1944, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Clifford and Virginia (Halen) Neubeck. On August 26, 1967, James married his beloved wife, Barbara Reinheimer, in Abington, Pennsylvania. James proudly served his country as a veteran of the U.S. Air Force from 1974 to 1976. He dedicated 36 years to his profession as a physician specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology, where he touched the lives of countless patients with his caring nature and expertise. A passionate advocate for Catholic education, James was also a devoted fan of Michigan State University. Above all, he cherished his role as a husband, father, and papa. His family remembers him as a devoted and loving individual who brought joy and kindness to all those around him. James is survived by his wife, Barbara; four daughters, Stephanie (Neil) Mellendorf of Lake Orion, Heidi (William) Thrall of Harleysville, Pennsylvania, Meredith (David) Roche of Flint, and Megan (Ruben) Neubeck-Izaguirre; grandchildren, Zoe Thrall, Maggie, James, and Anna Roche, Javier, Xochi, and Alexa Izaguirre, Danielle Fulgenzi, and Laura Mellendorf and Neil Mellendorf, II; siblings, Margaret, Jack, Elaine, Anita, and Ken; along with many cherished nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Karen and Gloria; and his grandson, Caleb. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 4-8 PM on Monday, December 16, 2024, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, located at 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in James's memory to the Hurley Foundation (https://www.hurleyfoundation.org/), Powers Catholic High School (https://www.powerscatholic.org/) or No Kid Hungry (https://www.nokidhungry.org/).
