James Moran

Moran, James Patrick - Age 64, of Grand Blanc, passed away on July 9, 2018. He was the husband of Suzanne V. Moran, of Grand Blanc and they shared 40 years of marriage. Jim was born on February 3, 1954 in Detroit, Michigan. He grew up in Redford Township and graduated in 1972 from Thurston High School. He was retired from the window and door industry where he worked in sales, installation and distribution. For most of his life, he lived in Linden, Michigan, where he built his dream log home. Known as a loyal friend and family man with a great sense of humor, Jim enjoyed home improvement projects, social events and outdoor activities. He was also an animal lover and had multiple dogs throughout his lifetime. In his later years, he enjoyed his two Great Danes, Max and Tara. He will always be remembered for his kindness toward others. He is survived by his wife, Suzanne; children Melissa (Jason) Visser of Portage, Michigan and Matthew Moran of Parker, Colorado; siblings Kathleen Gerdes, Robert (Suzanne) Moran and Paul Moran as well as many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Martha Moran, brother-in-law Wylie Gerdes and sister-in-law Tami Moran. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday, July 13 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Thursday; and 10-11 AM Friday.
