MOLASKI, James Floyd - Age 79, of Gaines, passed away Monday, April 22, 2024. A celebration of his life gathering will be held from 4-8 PM Friday, April 26, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Jim was born December 6, 1944 in Detroit, the son of William B. and Edna Colene (Bryant) Molaski. He was a 1962 graduate of Mt. Morris High School. He married Grace Anne Whitney June 4, 1993 in Flint. He had resided in Gaines for the past 25 years coming from Grand Blanc. Jim retired from GM Chevrolet V-8 Engine Plant. He was a member of U.A.W. Local #659. He also was a member of the Durand Eagles Lodge #3851. He enjoyed gardening, golfing, trips to the casino, day trips to the beach, going to comedy clubs and concerts in the park in Frankenmuth.
Surviving are: his wife, Grace; children, James S. Molaski of Montrose, Anne (Mike) Eddy of Flushing, Kristi (Bernie) Cason of Florida, Mark (Trina) Molaski of Clio, John (Linda) Wainio of Clio, Matt (Rebecca) Wainio of Grand Blanc and Miranda (Joe) Wainio of Flushing; grandchildren, Dan (Caroline), Kayla, Brian (Whitney), Kati, Matt, Ty, Demsi, Lindsey (Justin), Leah, Braylen, Tessa, Aiden, Alexys (Adam), Jordyn, Jacob, Taylor, Landon, Alex and Sydney; and several great grandchildren; sister, Nancy (Tony) Wood of Mt. Morris; and several nieces and nephews. He will be missed by spoiled puppy, Cheeca.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael Molaski; stepson, Greg Wainio; grandson, Nathan; and brother, William Molaski. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
