James Mays

MAYS, James Earl - Age 61, of Beaverton formerly of Gaines, died Friday, January, 26, 2018. Services will be held 1PM Sunday February 4, 2018 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held 12PM until time of service at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Heart Association or National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Mr. Mays was born in Flint, on September 15, 1956 the son of John Halsey and Trixie Ann (DeMoss) Mays. James enjoyed fishing, playing the guitar, music, painting and art. He was self employed in the construction business for over 30 years. Surviving are: father, John "Bud" Mays of Swartz Creek; siblings, Linda (Randy) Novenske of Swartz Creek, John Halsey (Maureen) Mays Jr. of Gaines, Patricia (Ned) Sandford of Gaines. James is also survived by many nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Trixie Ann Mays. Tributes may be posted at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
