James Main

MAIN, James Stanley - age 84, of Flint, died Tuesday, March 21, 2017. Services will be held at 6PM Friday, March 24 at Sharp Funeral Homes Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Pastor Michael McCarty officiating. A Masonic service will follow at 7 PM. Visitation will be held from 2 PM until the time of service Friday. James was born May 15, 1932, in Detroit, the son of Stanley and Lorraine (Gardner) Main. He was a graduate of Mt. Morris High School. He married Clemma Carmack and she preceded him in death on February 10, 2015 after 42 years of marriage. James served in the Navy from 1951-1954 during the Korean War. He worked as an electrician for GM, retiring after 35 years of service. He was a member of the Swartz Creek Masonic Lodge # 458, he was the past master in 2007, and was in the Shriner Oriental Band. James enjoyed motorcycle tours and woodworking. He is survived by his children, Patricia (Kenneth) Themm, Don (Barb) Sperow, Sue (Gary) Latchaw, Michael (Kim) Beyer; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. James was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Clemma; daughter, Shirley Rosum; brother, Jerrold Main.
