James Maccaughan

MacCAUGHAN, James Leslie "Jim" - Age 69, of Hartland, died Monday, May 5, 2014. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Marie Kuykendall Hospice of Michigan officiating. Burial immediately following in Hodge Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday from 1-8 PM and Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to the Livingston County 4H club or the American Lung Association. Jim was born April 7, 1945 in Pontiac the son of James Gordon and Lelia Irene (Cox) MacCaughan. He was a graduate of Milford High School. He married Janice M. Filipiak February 14, 1972 in Highland. Jim retired from GMSPO in Swartz Creek and had also worked for the GM Milford Proving Ground for many years. He was a member of the Clio Tractor Club and Fowlerville Agriculture Society. He also was a 4-H Leader and Volunteer and coached girls and boys baseball and basketball. Surviving are: wife, Janice; 4 children, Coreena Stroms of Fenton, Richard and wife Gloria Holmes of Waterford, James W. and wife Carrie MacCaughan of Fenton, and Angela MacCaughan and Brent Richardson of White Lake; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; sister, Lisa and husband John Mudel of Gaines; brother, David and wife Janice MacCaughan of Fenton; and several nieces and nephews.
