LOVE, James Elwood "Jim", age 86, of Davison, went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 16, 2011. Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Twp. Pastor Harold Constant, Pastor Jack Dowden and Dr. Joseph Bower officiating. Interment at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be Sunday 2:00-8:00 p.m. and Monday 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Heartland Hospice, Genesys Hospice or Carriage Town Ministries. Jim was born November 5, 1925 in Burleymont, Michigan the son of the late Edward J. and Ethel (Bateman) Love. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during WWII. Jim was employed for 28 years as a camp caretaker at Pretty Lake Vacation Camp. He enjoyed golf and construction projects in his spare time. Jim was a faithful man who knew Jesus Christ as his best friend and shared his belief with others. Surviving are his wife, Carol of Davison; 2 sons, Rodney Love (Donnette) and Bradley Love (Sharon) both of Schoolcraft; 6 grandchildren; 3 stepchildren, Tom, Cathy, Janice and their families; 3 sisters, Viola, Lorraine and Marcia; special sister-in-law, Donna Halleck. He was also preceded in death by his first wife of 42 years, Katherine in 1995; 5 siblings, Margaret, Allen, Edna, Bob and Jack; brother-in-law, Orill Halleck.
