James L. Burke

James L. Burke, age 81, of Flushing formerly of Grand Blanc, passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2023. A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held at 1:30PM on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan. James was born in Binghamton, New York on April 5, 1942 and moved to the Flint area to attend GMI. He was drafted to the United States Army and proudly served in the Vietnam War.  He loved everything about cars and made his career in the auto industry retiring from Delphi in 2002.  He also loved hunting, computers, and the many cats who kept him company over the years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas (Rose) Burke; his brother, Michael Burke and his cat, Black. Surviving are his daughter, Heather and his cat, Tan.
