KUHN, James Walter - age 65, of Fenton, died Saturday, February 26, 2011 at Crestmont Health Care Facility. Services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 806 Main St., Fenton with Pastor Dean Dumbrille officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Linden. Visitation will be held 5-9 PM Monday and 2-4 and 6-9 PM Tuesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Visitation will also be held from 10 AM until the time of service Wednesday at the church. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Trinity Lutheran Church. Jim was born December 16, 1945 in Detroit, the son of Walter and Arletha (Jensen) Kuhn. He graduated from Cody High School in Detroit and earned an Associates Degree from Detroit Lutheran College. He also attended Genesee Skill Center in Flint. Jim owned and operated Kuhn Printing Service from the family home in Linden for several years. He was an active member of the Linden Jaycees and Trinity Lutheran Church. He enjoyed traveling to the Holy Land twice and Alaska three times. Most of all he enjoyed his yearly summer trip to Oscoda with his nephews. Surviving are: sister, Sandra Shoemaker of Fenton; three nephews, Tim Shoemaker and wife, Shannon and their three children, Adam Shoemaker and Jeff Shoemaker; cousins, aunts and uncles also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Luther Shoemaker. Friends may share an online tribute on the obituaries page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
