James Koon

KOON, James Dale - Age 67, of Burton, passed away Sunday, May 23, 2021. Memorial service will take place 11AM, Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc.

James was born on June 4, 1953 in Goodrich the son of Clay and Marjorie (Boomer) Koon. He graduated from Lakeville High School. James and Teri were united in marriage on June 5, 1982. He worked as a mechanic for Nel's & Sons for many years. In his free time he liked to go fishing, having a cold beer and spending time with the family in the garage.

He is survived by his wife, Teri Koon; children, Aaron Koon, Justin (Maryann) Koon, Jennifer (Kevin) Kentish and Lori Hardacre; 8 grandchildren, Jack (Sharissa), Matthew, Miria, Emily, Aura, Sebastian, Ethan and Summer; great granddaughter, Natalie; brothers, Terry (Mary) Koon and Bill (Sally) Koon; friends, Tom Root and Mike Blake; mother-in-law, Shirley Atkins.
