James Kinzie

February 21, 1956 — May 23, 2019

Kinzie, Jim - Age 63, of Linden., passed away suddenly May 23, 2019. Jim and his wife, Jane, were high school sweethearts. They were married in the city of Davison, in 1974. Jim and Jane, moved to Linden in 1985, were they raised their two daughters. He retired from General Motors in 2006. Jim enjoyed his time at home, working on his yard, traveling, and cherished making memories with his grandchildren. He spent his time making sure his grandchildren had all the opportunities to enrich their lifes through learning and fun. He spent time going to their schools and taking them on countless mini vacations. He enjoyed helping others through the skills he learned in all areas of life. Jim adopted others in his life and made them family. Jim was the Rock, the confidant, the teacher, the friend, the keeper of his little princess and his boys best friend. Jim participated in the Gift of Life organ donation program, always thinking of others first. He will be dearly missed. He is survived by his loving wife Jane; children Krista Kinzie and Kari (Jason) Clouse; Grandchildren Austin and Liberty; mother Rosemary Kinzie, brothers Paul (Debbie) Kinzie and Joel Kinzie; many nieces and nephews, and a countless number of others that Jim made part of his family. He was preceded in death by his father Charles, brother Michael, and granddaughter Haven. The family has requested donations be made to Salavation Army or the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan.
