James H. "Jim" Carr

Carr, James H. "Jim" - Age 71, of Holly, passed away September 28, 2024. The family plans to celebrate his life beginning at 3:00 PM Saturday, October 19, 2024 at the Linden Community Center, 105 Mill Street, Linden. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 East Broad Street, Linden. 

Jim was born October 18, 1952 in Detroit, Michigan the son of the late James H. Carr and the late Mildred (Knudson) Carr. He retired from the Ironworkers Union. He went on to do carpentry work and janitorial work at Davisburg Elementary School. He was a hard worker. He was a member of the Holly Moose Lodge. He loved his family and loved spoiling the grandchildren. He was a passionate billiard player. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. 

He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Linda Diane (Bernecker) Carr of Holly; his children, Rhonda Carr (Craig), Paul (Kathryn) Carr, and Cory Carr; stepchildren, Janet (Amy) Bellant, Chris Bernecker, and Daniel Bellant; 9 grandchildren, Alexxis Woodley, Felicity Woodley, Kai Kenny-Backhaus, Adelia Carr, Payton Carr, Trinity Woodley, Lucas Carr, Cadence Woodley, and Emmett Carr; his siblings, Carolyn Carr (John), Erma Henshaw, Colleen (Clay) McGee, Tracy (Paul) Garza, Tony Carr, and John (Dorthory) Carr; sister-in-law, Nancy Carr; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Paul and Gloria Sleep; several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by parents; his brother, Lester Carr and sister-in-law, Annetta Carr.
