GUILES, James G. - Age 45, of Flushing, died Thursday, November 12, 2009 at Avalon Hospice. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 1:00 PM Saturday, November 14, 2009 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1227 E. Bristol Road, Burton, with Fr. Timothy MacDonald Celebrating. Visitation will be Held at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint Friday from 3-9 PM and at church Saturday from 12:00 Noon until time of Mass. A vigil service will be held at the funeral home 7 PM Friday. In Lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the James G. Guiles Memorial Fund. James was born September 10, 1964 in Flint, the son of Robert and Sharon (Moore) Guiles. He was an 1983 Graduate of Bendle High School. He married Lisa M. Dickerson April 12, 1997 in Frankenmuth. James had resided in Flushing for the past 12 years coming from Flint. He had been employed by California Street Rod in Huntington Beach, CA. He was an avid car buff and loved spending time in northern Michigan with friends and family. Surviving are: wife, Lisa; 3 children, Jordynn Horner and Jeff Schreiber of Flint, Tyler Horner and Harlee Guiles both of Flushing; parents, Robert and Sharon Guiles of Burton; sister, Dawn Beardsley of Wisconsin; in-laws, Edward and Gloria Dickerson of Fenton; sister-in-law, Michele and husband Josh Elenbaas of Florida; brother-in-law, Scott and wife Anita Dickerson of Illinois; nieces, Novie Teeple and Scarlett Dickerson; nephews, Daniel Teeple, James Teeple, Daniel Elenbaas and Luke Elenbaas; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
