James Curtis GIBSON

GIBSON, James Curtis - Age 51, of Grand Blanc/Holly, died suddenly Friday, June 5, 2009 at his residence. Funeral services will be 1 PM Thursday, June 11 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, Pastor E. Taveirne officiating. Visitation 12-8 PM Wednesday, 11 AM - 1 PM Thursday. James was born January 17, 1958 in Flint, MI, the son of J.C. and Marilyn (McCartney) Gibson. He had lived in Grand Blanc for several years, but was originally from Holly. Mr. Gibson was a 1976 graduate of Holly High School, a veteran of the U.S. Navy achieving the rank of E6 and was employed by General Motors in Lake Orion. Surviving are: 2 sons, James C. Gibson, currently stationed in Iraq, Patrick R. (Melissa) Gibson of Canton; parents, J.C. and Marilyn Gibson of Swartz Creek; brother and sister, Staci (Brian) Beard of GA, Jeffrey (Barbara) Gibson of Fenton; grandson, Nathan James Gibson of Port Huron.
